Welcome to Brimstone Music
Welcome! Thank you for visiting our website.
We’ve been making music professionally for the last fifteen years, and have journeyed through several genres including Folk, New Age, Instrumental, and Celtic. Perhaps there is something here for you, tucked inside one of our albums.
Currently I’m performing music with my band Geoffrey’s Nephew. At first we played a lot of music inspired by Celtic, medieval and Appalachian genres. These were both lyrical and instrumental, sometimes folk songs from several countries, sometimes purely original styled songwriting. In 2008 we released an all-acoustic, all-instrumental album called QUIETING, which really changed the sound of the band. This year I’m writing faster paced music and singing with a renewed kind of energy. Some of the new material has a Bluegrass sound, some of it has a powerful, slow Rock influence. Because we have played music together for many years, we are a bonded group with our own sound. We enjoy each other’s company and that comes through our performances.
Consider yourself invited to join us!
All the Best,
Lydia McCauley
